Waenhuiskrans/Arniston Resort is two hours' drive from Cape Town along the N2, over Sir Lowry’s Pass to Caledon, through the cornfields of the Overberg to Bredasdorp and on to Arniston/Waenhuiskrans, named after the British Ship, The Arniston, which was wrecked here in 1815 – as well as the famous Waenhuiskrans cave, an incredible tidal cave chiseled by sea and time from the limestone cliff.

This quaint fishing village, two centuries old, with innumerable white sand-dunes, endless beaches, character-filled fishing cottages and many other splendors will enable you to fulfil that inner yearning to experience total peace.

Apart from the tranquility that you will come across at Arniston/Waenhuiskrans, there are numerous other experiences awaiting you. From March to October the Southern Right Whale can be spotted off the coast. The area abounds with bird-life, including the rare Blue Crane. A trip to the Bredasdorp Shipwreck Museum and the famous L’Agulhas lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Africa is well worth a visit. The well-known De Hoop Nature Reserve with its abundance of wildlife, as well as numerous hiking trails Is only a short distance away…..

The holiday town L’Agulhas is situated at the southernmost tip of Africa.  The region, known as the Overberg, gets winter rainfall. The Cape Agulhas coast is an angling paradise and is known as the Ship's Graveyard. Sea temperatures in summer are 20-22 degrees and not much lower during winter. During school holidays, L’Agulhas is a hub of activity.

Struisbaai Park is situated approximately 4.5km from the southernmost tip of Africa. The park consists of 275 law-covered camping sites with eletri\city points and 16 chalets (11 chalets sleep 6 and 5 chalets sleep 4 ).
The park has a sea view and 4 exits directly onto the beach.

Suikerbossie Caravan Park is situated in Bredasdorp.  It consists of 45 caravan / tent sites equipped with electricity points. There are several shady trees and braai facilities on the premises.  There are 5 – 5 Bed bungalows and one fulle equipped bungalow sleeping 3 – 4 persons.
